| TIME
its more than just the name of a magazine, however famous the magazine may be. it is the very thing which makes the world tick, pun mis-intended. theres the often repeated phrase, that time is priceless. no amount of money can buy a person any added time. to me, time is crucial in every aspect of life. time is needed for anything to work. without time, nothing works, or to put it more bluntly, everything fails. a simple analogy would be sophisticated and highly advanced medical equipment. whats the use of having the best equipment available in the field, if one has no time to use it on patients? time is important. and time is scarce, especially in the wonderfully hectic island called singapore. the singaporean rat race as some would put it, sees most singaporeans in an endless rush, often complaining about the lack of time. given that time can be considered as a scarce commodity, then according to the basic theory of economics, theres always going to be an opportunity cost involved when it comes to the usage and allocation of time, or as opportunity cost is known, the next best alternative forgone. given opportunity cost, how one allocates their time thus shows their priorities and could then show just how important each alternative which was forgone actually is. just how important?
anyways, i've not posted for a nong nong time since the last post and i just felt like reflecting on a simple word. sorry to anyone who felt the above pointless and had their precious time wasted by me. hahas. 2007 has arrived and let me wish everyone reading this a happy and prosperous new year. this year is different from every other year in my short life. its the year after i finally graduated from the singapore moe education system. funny how for the past 12 years, i couldnt wait for this day to arrive and yet now that it actually has, im feeling more apprehensive than ever. i suppose that its the natural feeling when one enters a new phase of life la huh. well, i guess the only thing that can be done is to hope for the best and accept things when they come, with an open mind. the first thing of this year which is different from the years before i suppose, would be that instead of waking up to go to school, i'd be going off to work. hahas well, at least i'd have peiyuan for company and i will be able to earn some money and be self sufficient where finances are concerned, at least till i enter the army. and talking about work and army, i'd realise just how little time i have left, and how scarce time as a commodity is to me. i've just one full day left before i start work. and then enter the army. which then makes me wonder, just how important? im sorry but i am a pampered baby. thats just the way i am.

| the barbeque on the 4th decemeber, to celebrate my birthday was great. well, i really hope that everyone who came had fun and had enough food. many thanks to everyone who bothered to come to my place for the bbq. according to marcus, it feels like the edge of spore. technically, it isnt but still i understand its rather far la huh, and so thanks to all who bothered to come all the way to my hse. i appreciate it. oh yea and special thanks to edmund who kept going down the hill to help me get people to my place and to tano, for helping to cook most of the food. i gotta say that the cake tano bought certainly had too much cream and chocolate for its own good. hahas, well at least i managed to get some others to join in the 'fun' before i inevitably got a rather large portion of cake onto my face la huh. and i suppose ive sq to thank for that rather awkward moment or moments huh? oh yea, elvin tan certainly weighs one hell of a ton. it was that difficult throwing him into the pool even without him struggling. hahas and thanks to my wonderful planning, dearest sq went for a dip too. it was all in good fun yea? and frois, im really really sorry bout ur ipod and hp. i hope its been fixed or replaced with no cost. sorry yea? thanks to all for giving my a bday i'll rmb.

| alrites, now that i have both ample time and energy to spare, i shall finally update about cj's prom night 2006. hahas actually, the graduation night was held on the 30th of november at meritus mandarin hotel. well im just a little slow in updating la huh, but as the famous saying goes, better late than never so yeps =). well, checking in for our room at hyatt was a chore. the keys to the room couldnt be found because jimmy disappeared up to the room instead of leaving them at the concierge for me to collect them. and the endless picking up of classmates who came seperately was rather urm, bothersome la huh. but still, the suite was nice and spacious and for that, thanks u miss law caroline. or was that miss gong li? hahas. prom wasnt close to spectacular and i suppose the emcee cj hired to host the night, had his english education under miss rani la huh. nownow, how do we pronounce epitome? hahas. anyways, keefe managed to get called for the lucky draw but well, his price estimation was pretty bad. and i shant comment on our prom king and queen. which school decides their top 3 candidates for prom king and queen, by making the nominees drink and eat disgusting stuff? i suppose maybe we're trying to find mr and mrs disgusting of cjc? hahahas. well, since the hotel room was soooo nice rite, i gave post prom a miss. hahas, edmund flying kicking dustbins anybody? alrites, i guess prom really marked the end of 12 years of formal education for me. i'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
